Online harassment and abuse is a pervasive problem. ScrollSafe gathers allies and changemakers to combat online violence with localized, gender-sensitive solutions.
ScrollSafe’s goal is to make social media platforms a safer place for women, girls, and non-binary individuals, so they can freely and safely express themselves and participate in the digital public sphere without fear of discrimination or violence.
Through a range of online features and functionalities – so-called prototypes – ScrollSafe highlights how user’s social media feeds and interactions could be made safer.

Our Help me Cope - feature helps Kenyan survivors of OGBV to handle their safety and mental health better. People can learn about local support options to better cope with the abuse they experienced online.
Report in Your Language
Our Report in Your Language – feature shall help Kenyans affected by OGBV to report incidents in English and Swahili, because crucial context aspects often get lost in automatic translation.
